Tenuta Polvaro is nestled in the Lison Pramaggiore district of eastern Veneto, arguably the finest vine-growing area in the region. Founded by the Polvaro family in 1681, this noble Venetian family completely transformed the original forest plot into beautifully cultivated fields suitable for growing the finest grapes.
The winery was purchased by the Candoni De Zan family years later bringing the estate back to its original beauty and splendor with respect to its seventeenth century architecture. Polvaro produces grape varietals that are all indigenous to the Veneto region; they include Lison Classico D.O.C. (once known as Tocai), Dulcis dessert wine, Cabernet Sauvignon D.O.C., and two unique blended wines: Polvaro Oro and Polvaro Nero.
